Aesthetic Educator & Founder of LK Beauty Med Spa
Dr. Leah Kay, PhD
Dr. Leah Kay, PhD, is a Phoenix-based licensed aesthetician, aesthetic educator, Certified Cosmetic Laser Instructor, Laser Safety Officer, and entrepreneur with nearly a decade of experience in the beauty and medical aesthetics industry. She is the founder and CEO of LK Beauty Med Spa and LK Beauty Body Contouring & Laser Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Kay holds a PhD in Leadership & Business Management and has built her career around advanced aesthetics, professional education, cosmetic laser technologies, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, anti-aging treatments, and business leadership.
At LK Beauty Med Spa in Phoenix, Dr. Kay and her team provide advanced aesthetic treatments focused on skin rejuvenation, anti-aging, laser technology, and body contouring. Her extensive hands-on experience working with aesthetic technologies and treatment protocols has become an important foundation for her work as an educator.
Through LK Beauty Body Contouring & Laser Institute, Dr. Kay helps educate and train future aesthetic and laser professionals in Arizona. Her approach combines technical education with real-world industry experience, emphasizing treatment knowledge, laser safety, professional development, leadership, and the business principles necessary to build a successful and sustainable career in aesthetics.
Dr. Kay also serves as Managing Director and Official U.S. Educator for SQT® Bio-Microneedling USA, supporting professional education, training, and awareness of SQT® Bio-Microneedling throughout the United States.
Her passion for evidence-based beauty education inspired the creation of The Beauty PhD, an educational platform dedicated to decoding skincare, aesthetic treatments, beauty ingredients, anti-aging technologies, and emerging beauty trends through research and real-world professional experience.
Through The Beauty PhD, Dr. Kay examines the science and available evidence behind popular skincare ingredients, products, treatments, and aesthetic technologies. Her goal is to help consumers and beauty professionals look beyond marketing claims and better understand what works, what doesn’t, and why.
As an entrepreneur, aesthetic educator, and industry leader, Dr. Kay brings together nearly a decade of practical aesthetics experience with advanced education in leadership and business. This combination gives her a distinctive perspective on the beauty industry—from treatment technologies and professional education to leadership, business development, and practice growth.
Today, Dr. Kay’s mission is to advance aesthetic education in Phoenix and throughout the United States, empower beauty and laser professionals with knowledge, help consumers make more informed skincare and aesthetic treatment decisions, and bring greater transparency and scientific understanding to the rapidly evolving beauty industry.

Dr. Ubong Attah Prince
Dr. Ubong Attah Prince, NMD, CLS, is a board-certified physician licensed in Arizona. Her practice encompasses all aspects of family medicine with a strong emphasis on clinical aesthetics, medically supervised weight loss, and chronic disease management — including alternative pain treatments. Dr. Prince is passionate about patient education and empowering patients to be active participants in their own healing.
Dr. Prince received her medical degree from Sonoran University in Tempe, Arizona, and holds a degree in Health Information Management from St. Louis University. She is a Certified Cosmetic Laser Director under the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Radiation Control. Currently serving as Medical Director for multiple medical spas in the Phoenix area, Dr. Prince is a Bloomberg BusinessWeek-recognized Top Entrepreneur and has been featured in Yahoo! Finance and AOL Small Business.
